Objective To understand the requirement of the pharmaceutical students for clinical pharmacy elective courses, analyse the teaching feedbacks, in order to provide references for conducting the teaching reform and improving the teaching quality.
Methods Taking 409 4-year pharmacy undergraduates of a medical college as the study subject, questionnaires were used to investigate the purpose of course selection, evaluation of the course, and teaching format at the end of the teaching of the clinical pharmacy elective course to assess the requirements of the course.
Results Among the respondents, 44.99% of the students thought that what they learned in school cannot meet the needs of the clinical pharmacy work, 91.20% of the students were satisfied with the course design, 90.46% of the students expected to increase clinical pharmacy practice teaching, 90.95% of the students thought that it was necessary to offer the course.
Conclusion The clinical pharmacy elective course could meet the requirements of pharmaceutical students. Continuous improvement and refinement in teaching method and course structure should be conducted in the future.
