Herba artemisiae lactiflorae, as a traditional herb with a long history and wide application, is highly respected in Lingnan region. The chemical composition of this medicinal herb is complex, mainly including volatile oil compounds such as terpenes, alkanes, alcohols, aldehydes, and ketones, as well as various components such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, lignans, etc. In pharmacological research, Herba artemisiae lactiflorae exhibits significant anti-inflammatory, anti-asthmatic, liver-protective, anti-tumor, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects, indicating its enormous potential for application in the pharmaceutical and food industries. This study comprehensively reviews and summarizes the chemical composition, pharmacological effects, and the clinical application of related Herba artemisiae lactiflorae through extensive collection and analysis of relevant literature, aiming to provide theoretical support for the sustainable development and rational utilization of Herba artemisiae lactiflorae resources, and promote its innovative development in modern medicine and food industries.
